FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information: Barbara Rasmussen The Prospectus and Entry Form for NAPEX 2007, an American Philatelic Society Accredited National Level Exhibition, are now available. NAPEX will meet June 1-3, 2007 at the McLean Hilton at Tysons Corner, 7920 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, Virginia. 22102. This year’s exhibit theme will be the 400th anniversary of the Settlement of Jamestown, Virginia. The prospectus and entry form are available from Dr. John Warren, P.O. Box 70464, Washington, DC 20024, or at the organization’s official website, WWW.NAPEX.ORG. The entry form for literature exhibits can be obtained from NAPEX Director Dr. Norval L. Rasmussen, 1526 Mileground Road, Morgantown, WV 26505 or from literature@NAPEX.org NAPEX will host the annual meetings of the Scandinavian Collectors Club and the Sports Philatelists International. Prospective exhibitors should keep in mind that general competition exhibits must comprise a minimum of two frames and a maximum of ten frames. Youth exhibits must comprise a minimum of one frame and a maximum of five frames. Open and display class exhibit entry fees are $10 per frame (no charge for youth) and $25 per exhibit for one frame exhibits. Fees and return postage must be paid at the time of submission of the entry form. Checks, made payable to NAPEX and all official entry forms must be mailed to Dr. Warren, Exhibits Chairman, Box 70464, Washington, D.C. 20024. Notification of accepted entries will be mailed as soon as possible after receipt of the entry form and appropriate fees. All fees will be returned to any exhibitor whose exhibit is not accepted by the committee, which reserves the right to accept or reject any exhibit. Closing date for receipt of entry forms, title pages and/or synopses is April 1, 2007. Other important dates are May 1, 2007, the last date for revisions to the synopsis or title page; and May 23, 2007, the earliest date for a mailed exhibit to arrive. Overseas exhibitors should remember that their packages must clear U.S. Customs and can take more than two weeks to travel, even if sent by airmail. The last day for an exhibit to arrive by mail is May 30, 2007. Exhibits will be mounted on May 31, 2007. Exhibitors mounting their own exhibits may do so between 2:00-6:00 p.m. that day. The show will open at 10 a.m. June 1, 2007 and close at 4 p.m. June 3, 2007.
