*DESCRIPTION
All seals are printed 30 to a sheet, 6 columns by 5 rows. There are an equal number of each of two designs that alternate on each row and change position for each new row (otherwise, a block of 4 has the same seal in diagonal corners). All sheets are imperorate on self-adhesive paper.
DESIGN
One design celebrates the bicentennial of the founding of the City of Washington, D.C.
The second design celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the National Philatelic Exhibitions of Washington, D.C., Incorporated (NAPEX).
Both designs have the Nation's Capital, Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial featured in an Art Deco style reminiscent of the early part of this century. The first two structures and the background alternate colors. Either a "50" or "200" is placed in a hexagon on each seal. The hexagon is part of the NAPEX logo that also features all three structures.

AT THE SHOW
These seals will be available at the show. In addition, a second version with a gold background will also be available ONLY at the show. These gold bordered seals will only be sold or given away during the three show days (or mail orders with shipment delayed until June 2-4, 2000). The gold seals will sell for 10 cents each or $3 per sheet. HOWEVER, the first 500 guests that volunteer to fill out a survey on show publicity will receive a FREE seal. Plans are to hand roulette about half of these GOLD sheets. The rouletted sheets will enclose 15 pairs with roulettes leaving each pair with a vertical imperforate gutter inbetween. The gold color will approximate the color background of this page. Due to the printing technique, a thin white line appears in the left and right margins plus a half-inch bottom white margin. The top margin is completely gold.
